Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a STEM discipline, along with 5+ years of software development experience; OR at least 7+ years of professional software development experience without a degree
- Minimum of 2 years of development experience in C++
- Strong skills in software design and development in C++
- Familiarity with distributed computing systems, networking protocols, memory management, and CPU scheduling
- Solid understanding of classical physics and mathematics (algebra, calculus, Euclidean geometry)
- Proficient in debugging, performance optimization, and unit testing
- Innovative problem-solving approach
- Experience with open-source C++ simulators such as ROS2 and Gazebo
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong communication skills
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and uphold the high-fidelity real-time simulation software utilized for all vehicles
- Create prototypes to validate key design principles and define technical limitations
- Maintain stringent standards of excellence, striving for continual improvement
- Enhance the reliability and performance of our simulation software
- Collaborate with simulation software users to devise new features and elevate user experiences
