Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or 7+ years of experience in security software development without a degree
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in security software development
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Golang)
- Experience in designing and implementing security solutions for operating or distributed systems
- Competence in enhancing security for large-scale infrastructure systems
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain productive relationships within engineering teams
- Proven ability to operate independently and collaboratively in a team
- Familiarity with network protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols
- Experience with security hardware such as trusted platform modules (TPMs) and hardware security modules (HSMs) is preferred
- Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is desirable
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and construct security infrastructure for Starshield, including cryptographic services and essential security functions
- Develop security features for various Starshield systems, including routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Integrate security measures into factory processes and provide necessary network services
- Maintain and enhance the security posture of existing production systems through implementation and collaborative recommendations
- Create prototypes and assist in identifying, designing, and testing security enhancements
