Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science - Over 5 years of professional experience in RF integrated circuits - Masters degree or PhD in electrical engineering or computer engineering, focusing on RF/analog/mixed-signal integrated circuit design (preferred) - Proficiency in simulation tools such as Spectre, ADS, HFSS, or Momentum (preferred) - Strong skills in circuit design and simulation of both linear and non-linear circuits such as phase-locked loops, vector modulators/demodulators, oscillators, mixers, filters, and amplifiers (preferred) - Knowledge of digital communication systems and modulation techniques including QPSK, APSK, and QAM (preferred) - Understanding of RF transceiver architectures (preferred) - Deep knowledge of RF front end block design from S-band to W-band frequency ranges (preferred) - Familiarity with radio-related test equipment like spectrum analyzers and network analyzers (preferred) - Experience characterizing radio performance in microwave frequencies (preferred) - Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet critical milestones - Willingness to travel for off-site testing - Active security clearance may be required for sensitive missions, subject to drug testing

Responsibilities

- Design, simulate, and model RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems - Establish specifications for RFIC subsystems and circuits - Develop analog/mixed-signal/RF/microwave circuits in processes such as SiGe, GaAs, GaN, or CMOS - Collaborate with system architects, modem/DSP, and ASIC engineers to delineate hardware and software functions - Execute IC floor planning and layout tasks - Oversee packaging prototypes, product development, and transition to production while modeling package and parasitic components - Assess and characterize design prototypes - Support the development of automated testing equipment for laboratory measurements - Partner with manufacturing engineers on production testing and qualifying RFIC components and systems
