Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related STEM field, along with 5+ years of professional experience in security software development; OR 7+ years of professional experience in security software development without a degree.
- Proficiency in at least one software development language such as Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience in designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other large-scale infrastructure.
- Understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP protocols.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Demonstrated capacity to handle ambiguity and quickly learn new technologies.
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and construct security infrastructure for Starlink, encompassing cryptographic services and other critical security functionalities.
- Develop security features for Starlink systems, such as routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Integrate security considerations into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain existing production systems and enhance security posture via direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Create prototypes to identify, design, and test security advancements.
- Contribute to our mission of delivering secure and reliable internet to underserved communities.
