Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or physics
- Over 5 years of experience leading engineering projects
- More than 3 years of industry experience managing product technical requirements
- More than 3 years of industry experience in mechanical or electrical product design
- Over 3 years of industry experience in project management, covering technical scope, schedule, and budget
- Familiarity with the complete consumer-facing hardware product lifecycle
- Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision and on schedule
- Proven ability to excel in a cross-functional role
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, autonomous, and high-demand startup environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours or weekends as necessary, up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a product from design to launch, collaborating with stakeholders to outline the roadmap, ensure manufacturability at scale, confirm customer-oriented design, coordinate product mapping, and facilitate launch to international markets
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring production deadlines are met and product launches are successful
- Function as the business liaison between internal and external customers, coordinating with business, UX, and engineering teams throughout the new product introduction phase
- Convert new product strategies into business requirements and technical deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Identify improvement opportunities through market research, data analysis, and beta testing initiatives
- Assist with engineering failure analysis and root cause assessments during the initial rollout and early production of new products
- Inspire and support colleagues to meet program targets
- Prepare relevant updates and deliverables for senior management
