Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering field or physics
- Over 5 years of experience in leading engineering projects
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience in managing product technical requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical or electrical product design
- Minimum 3 years of experience in project management (covering technical scope, schedule, and costs)
- Prior experience with the entire consumer-facing hardware product lifecycle
- Proficient in solving complex issues independently and within deadlines
- Proven ability to operate in a highly collaborative role across different functions
- Experience thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to travel and work extended hours or weekends as needed, up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a product from design through to launch, collaborating with stakeholders to define the roadmap and ensure manufacturability at scale
- Act as the primary technical liaison for both internal and external stakeholders to ensure production goals and product launches are successful
- Serve as the business liaison between internal teams and external clients, coordinating efforts during the new product introduction (NPI) phase
- Convert new product strategies into actionable business requirements and technical deliverables to meet business objectives during new product introductions
- Identify and pursue improvement opportunities through market research, data analysis, and beta testing initiatives
- Assist in engineering failure analysis and root cause investigations during the initial rollout and early production phases of new products
- Encourage and support colleagues to achieve the objectives of the program
- Provide timely updates and deliverables to senior management
