Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or physics
- Over 5 years of experience managing engineering projects
- More than 3 years in overseeing product technical requirements
- At least 3 years in mechanical or electrical product design
- Minimum of 3 years in project management encompassing technical scope, schedule, and cost
- In-depth experience with the complete consumer-facing hardware product life cycle
- Proficiency in resolving intricate problems independently and timely
- Proven track record of functioning in a highly collaborative environment
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed, and challenging startup setting
- Strong communication abilities, both written and spoken
- Availability for travel and extended hours/weekends as needed, up to 10%
Responsibilities
- Manage a product from concept to launch by collaborating with stakeholders to outline the roadmap, ensuring manufacturability at scale, and tailoring the design for customer satisfaction
- Act as the primary technical liaison for both internal and external partners to guarantee production milestones are met and launches are executed successfully
- Function as the business representative among internal and external clients, coordinating with teams from business, UX, and engineering throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase
- Convert new product strategies into actionable business requirements and technical objectives to align with market demands
- Identify areas for enhancement through market research, data assessment, and beta testing initiatives
- Assist in engineering failure analysis and root cause evaluations during the initial rollout and early production phases of new offerings
- Inspire and support colleagues in achieving program objectives
- Prepare informative updates and deliverables for senior management
