Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline or 8+ years of network security experience in lieu of a degree
- Over 5 years of network security expertise
- Minimum of 3 years experience securing networks, IT infrastructure, applications, endpoints, and/or APIs
- In-depth knowledge of firewalls (Palo Alto and Juniper) and their functionalities
- Experience configuring intricate eBGP fabrics and designing complex multi-path networks
- Understanding of switch/router ACLs and network access control solutions
- Proficiency with IPSec and TLS based VPNs
- Familiarity with web application firewalls and email security solutions
- Experience with logging and alerting using SIEMs
- Knowledge of networking protocols and the OSI model
- Proven ability to test and implement changes in a live production environment
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and systems
- Excellent self-management and time-organization skills
- Superior written and verbal communication capabilities
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary authority for Layer 3 networking on firewalls
- Design, configure, and manage intricate networks for Mission, factory, and corporate uses
- Offer expertise in network security, firewalls, and industry best practices
- Oversee firewall configurations within the SpaceX enterprise based on operational demands
- Analyze challenges and develop innovative network solutions to enhance security
- Collaborate with various SpaceX teams to ascertain functional requirements and create secure architectures
- Communicate security practices and policies effectively to all stakeholders
