Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- Over 5 years of experience in network security; OR more than 8 years in professional IT networking
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with network firewalls
- Strong understanding of network security technologies, including:
- Firewalls (Palo Alto and Juniper)
- Network IDS/IPS solutions
- Switch/Router ACLs
- Network Access Control solutions
- IPSec and TLS-based VPNs
- Familiarity with networking protocols and the OSI model
- Experience in testing and implementing changes in production environments
- Quick learner with new technologies and systems
- Excellent self-management and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as required
- Ability to pass an Air Force background check for Cape Canaveral
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for ITAR compliance
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy network security tools
- Offer expert advice on network security, firewalls, and best practices in the industry
- Oversee firewall configurations within SpaceXs enterprise network as per operational needs
- Analyze security challenges and develop innovative network solutions
- Maintain network security systems through regular updates and necessary maintenance tasks
- Collaborate with other teams within SpaceX to identify functional requirements and convey security policies
- Construct threat models and evaluate risks for new architectures
