Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a technical or engineering field, or 7+ years of relevant networking experience if no degree is held
- Over 5 years of professional networking experience in deploying enterprise network solutions or web-scale networks
- Proven Layer-1 expertise, including transport systems, DWDM technologies, optical fiber handling, and circuit troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience in hardware deployment at data centers and engaging with remote operations
- Proficient in the setup of switches, routers, firewalls, and servers
- Ability to secure and maintain a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance
Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance network interconnections and co-location sites for optimal performance
- Manage network infrastructure and execute deployments to secure data centers
- Analyze system performance metrics to bolster network reliability and efficiency
- Support capacity expansion efforts and network optimization initiatives
- Direct integration and troubleshooting activities for network systems
- Work collaboratively with hardware, software, and network engineers to refine network architecture
- Assist in upgrading system configurations and firmware
- Develop automation solutions for network devices and operational tools
- Provide mentorship and training for junior network engineers
