Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, or science
- Over 5 years of industry experience
- More than 5 years of technical project management experience
- At least 5 years of systems engineering and requirements verification experience
- Over 4 years of practical experience with hardware or software technical projects
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience in negotiating technical deliverables
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in cross-functional team collaboration
- High attention to detail and a diligent work ethic
- Passion for enhancing the commercial space sector
- Capability to operate in a fast-paced, autonomous start-up environment
- Familiarity with government, NASA, or commercial space initiatives
- Experience with launch vehicles, spacecraft, or astronaut interactions
- Proficient in using CAD tools
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SpaceX and customer teams to explore design and implementation options for mission success
- Work alongside engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure vehicle, cargo, and crew readiness, taking into account impacts of changes on requirements and launch schedules
- Develop and present complex technical content, including trade studies and risk assessments to various audiences
- Organize and lead customer forums and reviews to ensure timely delivery of expected outcomes
- Oversee technical growth and upkeep of the Starship product lines in alignment with customer contract objectives
- Facilitate payload integration for customer projects, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to devise the requisite hardware, software, and processes for unique cargo and powered payloads
- Innovate and implement process enhancements to guarantee exceptional service to our customers and meet contract obligations
- Take charge of processes with meticulous attention to detail and ensure thorough execution
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and certify human spaceflight vehicles and systems for lunar, Mars, and low Earth orbit missions, ensuring compliance with customer requirements
