Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of practical experience with client and server hardware/software, management tools, enterprise networking, virtualization, and security technologies.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related scientific field, along with 5+ years in systems engineering; OR more than 7 years of relevant professional experience in software development in lieu of a degree.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
- Preferred: 5+ years in building, deploying, and troubleshooting Linux systems.
- Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python) for automation and task resolution.
- Background in constructing, deploying, and troubleshooting HPC clusters.
- Familiarity with cluster resource managers (e.g., Slurm, PBS, LSF).
- Experience using monitoring and alerting tools (like Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios).
- Understanding of scientific and engineering computing (CFD, FEA).
- Knowledge of machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience with GPU utilization in compute clusters and CUDA.
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Podman, Singularity).
- Experience with automated configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible).
- Ability to manage mission-critical and sensitive systems with the appropriate sense of urgency.
- Eligibility for access to classified materials up to TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer HPC clusters, storage systems, and high-speed networks efficiently.
- Provide application support to SpaceX engineers across various disciplines.
- Install and integrate Linux-based computing clusters.
- Create instructional documentation and explain complex technical concepts in laymans terms.
