Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or 7+ years of relevant professional experience in security software development if no degree
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in security software development
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, or Golang
- Experience in crafting and implementing security solutions for operating systems or large-scale distributed systems
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Experience with special-purpose security hardware like Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs) or Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) is a plus
- Comfortable navigating and addressing complexities in large interactive systems
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary
Responsibilities
- Design and construct security infrastructure for Starlink, encompassing cryptographic services and other critical security functions
- Generate security features for Starlink systems, including routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Integrate security measures into factory processes and facilitate network services that support this
- Maintain existing production systems while enhancing security posture through both direct actions and recommendations to other teams
- Develop prototypes and assist in identifying, designing, and testing security enhancements
- Advance our objective of delivering secure and dependable Internet access to underserved communities
