Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline
- 5+ years of research or development experience in RF and antennas (internship and thesis work accepted)
- 1+ years of experience using 3D EM simulation tools (CST, HFSS, FEKO, EMPro, TICRA, XFDTD)
- Masters degree or PhD in electrical engineering (preferably with research/thesis in RF or antennas)
- Knowledge of basic RF concepts (impedance matching, linear and aperture antennas, microwave network analysis)
- 1+ years of programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB
- Familiarity with antenna measurement techniques (anechoic chambers, near field EM measurements)
- Experience with RF circuit simulation tools (AWR, ADS, Genesys)
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interest in advancing commercial space industries and human spaceflight
- Availability to work extended hours or weekends for critical deadlines
Responsibilities
- Design advanced antenna and feed systems for next-generation products, including phased array and reflector systems
- Fabricate and evaluate prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends
- Contribute to software development and testing of digital beamforming systems for phased array functionality
- Provide expertise in phased arrays to set specifications and troubleshoot issues related to satellite and consumer products
- Conduct design validation testing for both prototype and production models
- Assist with the integration of antennas into spacecraft and other systems
- Analyze operational RF performance data from field units and explore methods to enhance performance and resolve issues
