Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline
- 5+ years of research or development experience in RF and antennas (internship and thesis work acceptable)
- 1+ years of experience with 3D EM simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, FEKO, EMPro, TICRA, or XFDTD
- Masters degree or PhD in electrical engineering (preferred) with research/thesis in RF or antennas
- Knowledge of RF concepts like impedance matching, linear/aperture antennas, Smith chart, and microwave network analysis
- 1+ years of programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB
- Familiarity with antenna measurement techniques and tools such as anechoic chambers
- Experience with RF circuit simulation tools like AWR, ADS, or Genesys
- Proficient in antenna prototyping techniques
- Capable of working in a fast-paced, autonomous environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about advancing commercial space and human spaceflight
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends when necessary for critical deadlines
Responsibilities
- Design advanced antenna and feed systems for next-generation products, including phased array and reflector designs
- Fabricate and evaluate prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends
- Contribute to software development and testing of digital beamforming systems to validate phased array functionality
- Provide expertise in phased arrays to set specifications and troubleshoot issues impacting satellite and consumer products
- Conduct design validation testing on both prototype and production designs
- Assist in the integration of antennas into spacecraft and other systems
- Analyze operational RF performance data and explore methods for performance enhancement and issue resolution
