Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or physics - Over 5 years of experience in developing ASICs or FPGAs - Masters degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or physics (preferred) - Familiarity with microcontrollers, FPGAs, and digital signal processing concepts - Experience using emulation or prototyping platforms from major EDA vendors (e.g., Palladium, Veloce, ZeBu) - Ability to analyze test results for driving IP selections for future products - Proficiency in writing detailed test reports for technical audiences - Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities in a dynamic environment - Experience with high-speed SerDes architectures and various clocking modes - Knowledge of Ethernet, PCIe, and other high-speed protocol layers - Understanding of serial digital communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, JTAG - Capability in developing multi-threaded applications - Familiarity with both Windows and Linux systems - Experience troubleshooting software and hardware interactions - Knowledge of configuration management and version control tools - Strong debugging and problem-solving capabilities - Proficient in object-oriented programming

Responsibilities

- Execute pre-silicon emulation of vital systems for next-generation ASICs - Collaborate within a small team of validation engineers to swiftly develop and launch custom silicon - Design, construct, validate, and automate test benches for thorough characterization of custom silicon - Coordinate closely with FPGA/ASIC Design, Flight Software, and Satellite Engineering teams to enhance testability and define test infrastructure logic for adequate silicon coverage - Develop and establish modular, reusable instrument driver libraries and test automation sequences using C/C++ or Python
