Security Software Engineer, Applied Computing

- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related STEM field; or a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in security software development in place of a degree - Proficient in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, Golang) - Demonstrated experience in formulating and executing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale enterprise infrastructure - Skilled in developing and implementing solutions using large language models (LLMs) or related AI technologies - Ability to navigate ambiguity, learn swiftly, resolve problems, and take responsibility for outcomes - Knowledge of fundamental security engineering concepts including cryptography, authentication, network security, and operating system security - Proficiency in designing, prompting, and securing agents capable of autonomous and prolonged operations - Experience in red teaming/penetration testing of LLMs, involving prompt injection and data protection - Familiarity with deploying and managing LLMs, ensuring their operational reliability and scalability - Proven track record of enhancing security in complex systems - Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal - Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team - Advanced degree in a technical or engineering field is a plus - Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is preferred - Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when required
