Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related STEM field; OR minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or Golang
- Experience in designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or enterprise infrastructure
- Familiarity with contributing security enhancements to intricate systems
- Experience with specialized security hardware such as Trusted Platform Modules (TPMs) and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, including the TCP/IP stack and UDP-based protocols
- Ability to navigate through large and complex interactive systems
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken
- Capability to work independently as well as within a team
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity and quickly learn new technologies
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
Responsibilities
- Develop and construct security infrastructure for Starlink, incorporating cryptographic services and other critical security services
- Create security features for Starlink systems, which include routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Integrate security into manufacturing processes and offer network services to support this
- Enhance existing production systems and strengthen security posture through direct actions and teamwork recommendations
- Build prototypes and assist in identifying, designing, and testing security enhancements
- Advance our mission of delivering secure and dependable Internet access to underserved communities
