Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in one or more software development languages (e.g., Python, C++, Golang)
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure
- Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance
- Fundamental knowledge of network protocols, including the TCP/IP stack and UDP-based protocols
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex software-hardware integration issues
- Familiarity with U.S. Government contracts, including government standards and procurement processes
- Deep understanding and practical experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the security of existing production systems through direct actions and by advising other teams
- Construct prototypes and assist in identifying, designing, and testing security enhancements
- Implement and advocate for secure coding standards and secure software development practices throughout the development cycle
- Enforce secure coding methodologies (SAST, DAST, threat modeling) in the software development pipeline
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to identify software needs, ensure smooth integration of hardware and software, and resolve significant system issues
- Collaborate with diverse teams to define software specifications, system design, and integration methods
- Review and oversee software development for ITAR-controlled payloads, adhering strictly to export regulations and company policies
- Ensure compliance of all software outputs with U.S. Government standards and ITAR regulations
- Manage ITAR systems, including controlling access to sensitive data and following all applicable regulations
- Develop and maintain thorough software documentation, including design specifications, test plans, verification protocols, and documents required for U.S. Government contracts and ITAR compliance
