Recovery engineer (Falcon 9 booster & fairings)

- Bachelors degree in an engineering field - Over 2 years of experience in developing and/or processing aerospace or aviation systems - Hands-on experience of 2+ years in constructing, maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and operating ground support equipment (preferred) - Familiarity with fluid, mechanical, or electrical systems, as well as multi-disciplinary system assemblies - Experience in planning, executing, leading, and enhancing operations with teams of more than 10 people - Background in high-stakes operations where timely decision-making is crucial - Capability to thrive in a collaborative setting, maintaining daily interactions with technicians, engineers, and management - Proficiency in prioritizing and executing tasks effectively in high-pressure situations - Self-driven with meticulous attention to detail - Commitment to ongoing improvement across all work areas - Detailed-oriented, well-organized, and possesses a strong sense of urgency - Available for extended hours (10-12+ hour days) and weekend commitments as needed - Willingness to work in extreme outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, and at sea - Capability to operate within a high-stress work environment - Ability to support offshore operations and participate in recovery missions at sea - Capacity to climb ladders and work in confined spaces - Willingness to handle hazardous materials - Skilled in operating heavy machinery - Must pass Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg - Valid drivers license is mandatory
