Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related STEM field, or 2+ years of relevant professional experience in security software development in place of a degree
- Proficiency in one or more software development languages (e.g., Python, C++, Golang)
- Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale enterprise infrastructure
- Flexibility and clarity in communication, with a focus on building and maintaining collaborative relationships with other engineering teams
- Strong ability to navigate complex, interactive systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to ambiguity and swiftly learn new technologies
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred
- Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Design and develop security infrastructure for Starshield, incorporating cryptographic services and other security-critical functions
- Create security features for Starshield systems, including routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Integrate security measures into factory processes and provide supporting network services
- Sustain existing production systems and enhance security measures through implementation and recommendations to other teams
- Prototype security solutions and contribute to identifying, designing, and testing security enhancements
