Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, or computer science
- Over 10 years of experience in mechanical/electromechanical manufacturing, design, analysis, testing, or programming
- Experience with both electrical and industrial controls including safety and compliance standards
- Proficient in PLC programming, particularly with Beckhoff TwinCAT
- Familiarity with HMI, SCADA, IoT systems, and industrial networking protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems and design fail-safe circuits
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Capacity to manage projects including schedules, budgets, and team motivation
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed for critical project milestones
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and oversee automation projects from initial ideation to operational hand-off
- Architect, code, and debug PLC systems, focusing on maintainable and reusable practices for high-volume manufacturing
- Ensure factory safety and reliability by implementing compliant systems for manufacturing equipment
- Create user-friendly HMI interfaces that simplify machine operations and troubleshooting
- Design electrical systems in accordance with NEC, NFPA, and UL508A regulations
- Organize schedules and budgets, while inspiring team commitment to project goals
