Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a related STEM field OR at least 2 years of software development experience
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C/C++ or Python
- Familiarity with Bazel, C++, Python, or Bash (preferred)
- Experience in identifying and rectifying performance bottlenecks in build systems and embedded environments
- Background in designing user-friendly interfaces aimed at software engineers
- Knowledge of designing fault-tolerant, distributed, or real-time embedded systems
- Proficient with version control and continuous integration/delivery systems
- Adaptability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams
- Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to extend working hours and weekends when necessary
Responsibilities
- Maintain flight code generation tools for flight software and Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineers
- Upkeep core flight software functionalities shared across different satellite products
- Collaborate closely with flight software developers to identify and improve slow or error-prone aspects of embedded software development
- Develop tools and processes that facilitate rapid, precise, and user-friendly development and operational systems
- Liaise with ground software teams to identify necessary adjustments in flight systems to streamline constellation operations
