Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a technical or engineering field; OR 2+ years of hands-on networking experience implementing enterprise network solutions and/or web-scale networks in lieu of a degree
- 1+ year of experience in networking with deployment of enterprise solutions and/or cloud networks (Internship/Co-op experience considered)
- Experience with Layer-1 (e.g., transport, DWDM, optical fiber, circuit troubleshooting, activations)
- Proven track record with networking hardware deployment (Routers, Modems, Switches, Firewalls)
Responsibilities
- Oversee and enhance network interconnections, co-location sites, and points of presence (POPs)
- Elevate network performance and reliability using system performance metrics, addressing capacity planning, failure detection, and remediation
- Contribute to capacity augmentation and network optimization efforts
- Spearhead network integration and problem-solving initiatives for major Starlink clients
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and network engineers to develop or refine Starlink products
- Provide technical pre-sales support to sales teams by acting as the Starlink subject matter expert
- Assist in the updating of system configurations and firmware
- Automate network devices and operational/deployment tools
- Assist with integrating Starlink satellite assets into traditional ground networks
- Guide and mentor junior network engineers
