Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field; OR 2+ years of relevant experience in network automation, DevOps, network engineering, or site reliability engineering in place of a degree
- Proficient in networking protocols and their applications: TCP/IPv4/IPv6, gaming, voice, video, broadcast, and streaming
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system
- Experience with automation using Python, Shell, Bash, or other programming languages
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance
Responsibilities
- Deploy, upgrade, operate, maintain, and scale a global networking service for governmental clients
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to develop highly functional and maintainable infrastructure
- Assess, sustain, and enhance the uptime and performance of the terrestrial network
- Serve as the technical product owner for infrastructure tools and software used in access, backbone, and edge networks
- Innovate methods to scale through automation and operational enhancements
- Mentor junior engineers to foster their development
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support services
