Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or a science-related discipline.
- At least 1 year of hands-on experience in software or electrical engineering, working on technical projects involving hardware or software.
- Familiarity with U.S. Government intelligence processes and systems is a plus.
- Experience integrating generative AI and traditional machine learning techniques is desirable.
- Proven ability to perform well under pressure and deliver dependable results across multiple competing priorities.
- High attention to detail, dedicated work ethic, and professionalism with strong written and verbal technical communication abilities.
- Experience in spacecraft mission design, development, integration, and/or testing is an advantage.
- Strong inclination towards innovation in improving processes and system design.
- Must be eligible for and obtain a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
- Willingness to work extended hours or weekends to meet critical objectives or operational needs.
- Ability to travel to other SpaceX locations, customer sites, and remote ground locations when required.
- Ability to pass the Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary customer liaison during meetings, testing, and reviews to formulate operational plans and design missions, participating in real-world operations.
- Ensure timely completion of contract deliverables, translating customer requirements into actionable development goals.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to drive development efforts, engaging with subsystem representatives across different teams to facilitate mission success.
- Support all stages of the program from development and initial proposal to successful testing, launch, and on-orbit commissioning, including educating customers about our methodologies and designs.
- Take ownership of the ground segment architecture design.
