Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline
- Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in fabrication, assembly, testing, and/or project management through internships, labs, clubs, extracurricular activities, or relevant industry experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with integration and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical, and/or structural systems
- Knowledge of testing methods and data acquisition systems
- Familiarity with working with composites and avionics system integration
- Experience with documentation and configuration management
- Proficiency in writing test plans and procedures, along with making go/no-go judgments
- Background in a production environment
- Demonstrated engineering intuition and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g. NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Autodesk Inventor) for design, modeling, and manufacturing applications
Responsibilities
- Oversee the integration build flow and test operations
- Assess proposed designs for manufacturability and integration compatibility
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to enhance manufacturing and automation processes
- Continuously evaluate each part, process, and operation while partnering closely with design/development engineers to create highly manufacturable and reliable satellite hardware
- Ensure comprehensive ownership of the production line including process consistency, quality, tooling, capital equipment, ergonomics, and safety standards
- Facilitate daily execution of vehicle integration and testing procedures
- Investigate non-conformances to identify root causes and develop actionable items and system enhancements
