Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems, with a minimum of 3 years experience in DevOps, SRE, or a related field, OR 7+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Linux servers in various environments including physical, virtual, or containerized setups.
- Familiarity with tools for code hosting and collaboration (such as Bitbucket, Github, GitLab) and continuous integration tools (including Bamboo, Jenkins).
- Experience with automated monitoring tools (like Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.) is preferable.
- Relevant scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, or Groovy.
- Familiarity with containerized applications using Docker or Kubernetes.
- Experience in automating deployments using tools like Ansible or Chef.
- Understanding of version control and release management concepts (for example, Git, SVN, Bitbucket).
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
- Self-starter with strong motivation and creativity.
- Willingness to adapt to extended hours or weekend work as required.
- Capacity to clear Air Force background checks for Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee CI/CD pipelines effectively.
- Automate deployment and monitoring workflows to enhance system reliability.
- Enforce best practices across our environments and deployments.
- Collaborate closely with developers and other software engineering teams to optimize code integration and development processes.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot problems, and optimize resources across numerous servers.
- Enhance logging, monitoring, and alerting systems using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Influx, or similar applications.
- Establish high availability and maintain disaster recovery strategies, practicing them regularly.
- Administer CI/CD and code repository applications as needed.
- Suggest and uphold best practices regarding code building and releasing procedures.
- Collaborate intensely with developers and other software engineering teams.
- Implement automation tools and frameworks for CI/CD pipelines.

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining our CI/CD pipelines while automating infrastructure to ensure system reliability and scalability. We offer a competitive salary range of $130,000 to $160,000 per year, along with comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance, 401(k) retirement plans, paid parental leave, and various perks. Employees accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation, plus 10 or more paid holidays annually, and we provide company shuttle services for commuting to the SpaceX Redmond office.
