IT Infrastructure Engineer - Virtualization & Hardware

- Lead the validation process for SpaceXs data center server hardware products, focusing on network connectivity, power delivery, and functionality - Implement and sustain a robust VMware environment to meet the virtualization demands of the organization - Manage hardware development projects from initial concept through to final product delivery - Oversee data center deployments and troubleshoot production issues within our facilities - Collaborate with engineering teams to create and maintain purpose-built servers, emphasizing resilient designs and high availability - Identify efficiencies and implement solutions in our expansive VMware environment that supports critical applications - Regularly collaborate with internal teams to grasp requirements, optimize solutions, and enhance product knowledge - Direct the hardware procurement process, from conceptual design to deployment coordination and operational support - Develop and review validation plans, ensuring thorough execution and testing reports across hardware, firmware, and software disciplines - Investigate and resolve hardware and system-level issues, down to the component and firmware levels, in conjunction with other teams - Define and qualify second source components to guarantee continuity in product lines alongside primary partners and suppliers
