Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 1+ years of hands-on experience in circuit design and development of electronic products
- Masters degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a similar field (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in quickly designing and delivering reliable products (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in end-to-end product development, focusing on new hardware instead of minor updates to legacy systems (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in designing and implementing mixed-signal circuit boards using various components (preferred)
- 2+ years of professional experience in testing, troubleshooting, and debugging electronic hardware (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of computers and programming languages such as Python and C/C++ (preferred)
- Proven ability to function effectively in a cross-disciplinary environment
- Willingness to work extended hours or weekends to meet crucial deadlines
Responsibilities
- Design, create, and evaluate high-reliability electronics for satellite communication
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, thermal, manufacturing, and production testing teams
- Conduct system evaluation, requirements gathering, component selection, schematic development, PCB layout, prototyping, hardware integration, debugging, documentation, and testing of complex electrical designs
- Engage in hands-on support for hardware during production, satellite integration, and flight testing
- Work closely with engineers from related disciplines to create well-integrated, high-performance hardware solutions
- Implement ongoing improvements in our designs by developing tools to analyze collected data from orbit and laboratory conditions
- Question established assumptions and strive to create simple solutions for complex challenges
