Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or physics
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in modeling and simulation
- Proficiency in software development using C++ or Python
- Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance (preferred)
- Proven experience in writing scalable software within a team environment
- Strong skills in modern software design and development
- Professional experience with modern C++ (C++14 or later)
- Advanced degrees (Masters or PhD) in physics or engineering are advantageous
- Experience in developing state estimation algorithms
- Background in RF communication
- Ability to create and present compelling analyses of complex trade-offs
- Competence in adapting to dynamic environments with shifting needs
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative
- Experience in debugging, performance optimization, and test automation
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
- Develop software tools and scenarios for system-of-systems performance analysis, involving satellites, sensors, communications, and ground infrastructure
- Analyze and propose designs that balance conflicting requirements
- Create 6-DOF dynamics simulation models for GNC systems analysis and validation
- Produce physics-based models for simulating RF communications and sensor systems
- Evaluate the feasibility of various designs to support architecture definition
- Construct a library of space and ground systems models for the simulation environment
- Serve as a cross-disciplinary specialist to ensure mission objectives are met
- Articulate technical capabilities and analyses to internal teams and external clients
- Participate in a small team to continuously refine mission design throughout the project lifecycle
