Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in aerospace, physics, or an engineering discipline - Proficiency in software development using C++ - Experience with designing and analyzing closed-loop control systems - Masters degree or PhD in a related field is preferred - Strong knowledge and experience with linear closed-loop controls analysis and design - Familiarity with flexible body dynamics and reduced finite element modeling in control systems - Expertise in state estimation methods, including Kalman and information filters - Solid experience in embedded C++, particularly for electromechanical control firmware - Understanding of classical rigid body dynamics and orbital mechanics - Direct involvement with spacecraft operations, flight software development, testing, and deployment - Ability to solve complex problems independently - Passion for contributing to the commercial space sector - Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

- Design, analyze, and implement electromechanical control systems such as solar array actuators and antenna gimbals - Develop, analyze, and implement satellite attitude control and momentum management systems - Design and implement fluid and power system controls for Starlink hall thrusters - Perform optimal state estimation for mechanical alignment and attitude determination - Specify hardware performance, support hardware iteration, firmware bring-up, and design qualification - Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulations using C++, Python, and MATLAB, integrating them into collaborative analysis tools - Implement, validate, test, and deploy production software (C++) for the specified systems - Provide engineering support and data review for hardware development and network-level performance monitoring
