Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, math, or another STEM field OR at least 2 years of experience in software development
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ or Python, among others
- Familiarity with Bazel, C++, Python, and Bash (preferred)
- Experience identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, particularly in build systems and embedded environments (preferred)
- Experience in designing intuitive user interfaces for software engineers (preferred)
- Knowledge of developing fault-tolerant, distributed, or real-time embedded systems (preferred)
- Familiarity with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery systems (preferred)
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with a focus on solution-oriented collaboration (preferred)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary
Responsibilities
- Oversee flight code generation tools for flight software and GNC engineers
- Maintain essential flight software features utilized across multiple satellite products
- Collaborate with flight software developers to identify and rectify slow or problematic aspects of embedded software development
- Develop tools and processes that facilitate rapid, efficient, and user-friendly development and operational systems
- Liaise with ground software teams to pinpoint where flight systems should be modified to simplify constellation operations
