Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field; OR 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, C++, or Golang
- Experience in designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, large-scale distributed systems, or enterprise-level infrastructures
- Flexibility and strong communication skills for establishing productive relationships with engineering teams
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex systems and deal with ambiguity effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed
Responsibilities
- Create and implement security infrastructure for Starlink, focusing on cryptographic services and other critical security tasks
- Develop and integrate security features into Starlink systems, including routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
- Incorporate security considerations into our factory processes and provide supportive network services
- Enhance existing production systems and uplift security measures through direct actions and recommendations to other teams
- Construct prototypes while identifying, designing, and testing security enhancements
- Advocate for our mission to provide secure and reliable Internet access to underserved communities
