Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or a related STEM field
- At least 1 year of experience in data or software engineering (internship experience is acceptable)
- Knowledge in analytics, data science, or machine learning
- Prior professional experience in analytics, data science, or machine learning is preferred
- Familiarity with tools such as Spark, Presto, Flink, or Snowflake
- Experience in creating solutions with storage formats like Parquet
- Understanding of Kubernetes
- Experience in building solutions for processing structured and semi-structured data
- Track record of developing predictive models and machine learning pipelines (e.g., clustering analysis, anomaly detection)
- Skill in custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance
- Experience managing large datasets (TB+)
- Capability in developing and deploying data analysis tools
- Ability to adapt and work effectively in a fast-changing environment
- Initiative to undertake projects requiring new expertise
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary
Responsibilities
- Develop and support essential infrastructure, tools, processes, and bespoke software to evaluate growth opportunities for the Starlink initiative
- Streamline the aggregation of metrics and identify widespread application issues within Starlink
- Foster and maintain connections with key third-party application/content stakeholders
- Lead technical inquiries into persistent application-level challenges
- Create ground-based software systems for data ingestion, transformation, and storage
- Employ data analytics and methodologies on data products generated by space vehicles
- Compile catalogs of data and tools for analytics use by yourself and other teams
- Integrate data from diverse sources to generate actionable insights
