Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, or a related STEM field
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in data or software engineering (internship experience is acceptable)
- Solid background in analytics, data science, or machine learning
- Experience managing large datasets (TB+)
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C, C++, Python)
- Familiarity with building solutions utilizing storage formats like Parquet
- Understanding of Kubernetes and in-stream data processing for structured and semi-structured data
- Experience in constructing predictive models and machine learning pipelines (e.g., clustering analysis, predictions, anomaly detection)
- Knowledge of custom ETL design and maintenance
- Familiarity with tools for data analysis such as Spark, Presto, Flink, or Snowflake
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with evolving needs
- Initiative in tackling projects and developing new skills
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when required
Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain critical infrastructure, tools, processes, and custom software to objectively evaluate growth opportunities in the Direct to Cell program
- Streamline the collection of metrics and identification of widespread application issues within Direct to Cell
- Cultivate and sustain partnerships with key third-party application/content owners
- Oversee technical inquiries regarding recurring application-level challenges
- Create ground-based software systems that process, transform, and store data
- Utilize data analytics and models to enhance data products generated by space vehicles
- Generate catalogs of data and tools for use in analytics by your team and others
- Integrate data from various sources to produce actionable insights
