Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering, along with a minimum of 1 year experience in digital signal processing engineering; or 3 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree
- At least 1 year of experience in designing and verifying modems and sensors
- Minimum of 1 year in developing signal processing algorithms using Python, Matlab, or C/C++
- Experience of at least 1 year in system-level modeling and/or digital signal processing
Responsibilities
- Lead decisions on firmware and software designs at the program level
- Explore innovative solutions for large-scale, long-distance free space and fiber optic communication systems
- Create and test algorithms for both on-orbit and ground-based data processing
- Collaborate closely with FPGA, RF/antenna, and software engineers to design and validate communication systems
- Conduct on-orbit demonstrations and testing
- Perform system-level and link-level design for spacecraft communications and sensing systems
- Develop floating-point and fixed-point models, running simulations to analyze and validate full system performance, including modem performance
- Take full ownership of the end-to-end results of your products, from requirement gathering through production and flight, ensuring thorough verification and documentation
