Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering field or physics
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering (internships or student projects are acceptable)
- Familiarity with build, assembly, or integration of aerospace components such as structures, avionics, or fluid systems
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities, fostering a spirit of innovation
- Proficient knowledge in process controls and quality tools (Lean principles, statistical analysis, root cause analysis)
- Preferred: Masters degree in mechanical, aerospace, materials, or electrical engineering
- Experience with welding processes, especially in implementing process improvements
- Knowledge of complex mechanical assemblies, CNC machining, and pressure testing
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and offsite as necessary
Responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve complex failure modes, driving robust corrective actions based on root cause analysis
- Develop and standardize processes in manufacturing, integration, and assembly to ensure consistency
- Identify and address reliability gaps in design and manufacturing processes, implementing corrective measures
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to create quality plans for flight hardware
- Utilize quality analysis tools to monitor product and process success during production increases
- Lead initiatives to enhance build quality, empowering data-driven decision-making
- Manage a variety of projects related to testing, tooling design, and mechanical systems
