Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field or 1+ years of industry and/or internship experience; or 2+ years of professional software development experience without a STEM degree.
- Proven professional experience coding in C++, Python, Golang, or similar programming languages.
- Strong coding skills in C or C++ within a production setting.
- Familiarity with distributed systems or large-scale consumer internet platforms.
- Experience with container technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Understanding of version control, testing protocols, continuous integration, build systems, deployment, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL or CockroachDB.
- Experience in application profiling and performance enhancement.
- Background in real-time rendering, game engine development, or physics simulations is desirable.
- Previous experience with satellite or spacecraft systems is a plus.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Create reliable and scalable software systems for managing a vast fleet of satellites in low-earth orbit.
- Engage in architecture, design, and code reviews.
- Develop prototypes to validate key design principles and assess technical limitations.
- Build tools for software development and deployment, data analysis, visualization, and testing across various environments including virtualized systems and real hardware simulations.
- Implement dependable software and data analysis as part of a continuous integration and release workflow.
