Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, computer science, or another related discipline
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in one or more of the following:
- Professional or internship experience in industrial or factory automation design and implementation
- Participation in a project team responsible for designing and building automated, robotic, or electro-mechanical systems beyond academic projects
- Familiarity with the ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours, including extended hours and weekends if necessary
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee automation projects from initial concept through to operational handoff
- Develop, document, and troubleshoot PLC code, focusing on organization, maintainability, and reusability for high-volume production
- Ensure safety and reliability of our factory by adhering to ANSI/RIA15.06/OSHA standards for automation equipment
- Create user-friendly HMI screens to simplify operation and troubleshooting for complex machinery
- Design electrical systems that comply with NEC, NFPA, and UL508A standards
- Establish timelines and budgets for projects, motivating the team to stay on track
