Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer engineering or electrical engineering
- 1+ years of research or development experience in RF and antennas (internship and thesis work accepted)
- 1+ years of experience using 3D EM simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, FEKO, EMPro, TICRA, or XFDTD
- Familiarity with basic RF concepts such as impedance matching, linear and aperture antennas, Smith chart, power handling metrics (IIP2, IMD), microwave network analysis, and RF filter design
- Masters degree or PhD in electrical engineering with relevant research/thesis work on RF or antennas (preferred)
- Experience with RF systems including SIGINT, ELINT, radar, or communications (preferred)
- 1+ years of programming proficiency in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB (preferred)
- Understanding of RF system design for radio astronomy, SIGINT, ELINT, radar, or wireless communications (preferred)
- Knowledge of antenna measurement techniques and tools like anechoic/reverb chambers, near field EM measurements (preferred)
- Familiarity with RF circuit simulation tools such as AWR, ADS, Genesys (preferred)
- Skill in antenna prototyping tools and techniques (preferred)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, autonomous, and demanding startup environment (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (preferred)
- Strong desire to contribute to advancements in the commercial and National Security space industry (preferred)
- Willingness and capability to obtain a Top-Secret clearance (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design cutting-edge antenna and feed systems for next-generation products, focusing on phased array and reflector systems
- Build and evaluate prototypes for antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends
- Participate in software development and testing of digital beamforming systems to showcase full phased array capabilities
- Offer expertise in phased array for setting specifications and troubleshooting issues related to satellite phased arrays
- Lead or assist in the integration of antennas with spacecraft and other systems
- Analyze operational RF performance data from the field and explore methods to enhance performance and resolve issues
