Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field
- A minimum of 1 year of experience with antennas or communication systems, including internships and relevant projects
- At least 1 year of experience with radio test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers, vector signal generators, and network analyzers
- Minimum 1 year of programming experience in Python, C#, C++, or MATLAB
- Masters degree or PhD in electrical engineering with a focus on RF/antenna engineering (preferred)
- Experience in designing wireless communication systems (preferred)
- Familiarity with fundamental principles of antenna theory (preferred)
- Knowledge of link budgets and communications analysis (preferred)
- Strong understanding of RF active and passive components (preferred)
- Experience characterizing radio performance at microwave frequencies (preferred)
- Experience with waveguide systems at mmWave frequencies (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (preferred)
- A passion for problem-solving (preferred)
- Proven ability to operate in a highly cross-functional environment (preferred)
- Ability to work extended hours or weekends when necessary for mission-critical deadlines
Responsibilities
- Design, fabricate, and analyze prototypes of antennas, feed systems, and RF front ends for next-gen phased arrays, gateways, and consumer wireless products
- Develop electromagnetic simulation models for hardware such as antennas, filters, and PCB layouts to assess performance
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, digital signal processing, and software engineering teams to design and validate RF systems
- Create and assess phased array alignment solutions
- Rapidly develop design, validation, and production testing solutions for high-volume consumer products and gateway antennas
- Create automation software in Python to interface with units under test, testing equipment, instruments, and documentation systems
