Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or integration related to DoD satellite or ground systems
- 5+ years of background in space system and DoD program evaluations, including SRR, SDR, SFR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, FCA, PCA
- 2+ years of experience overseeing the risk management process for space-oriented ground, software, or hardware systems as part of Major Defense Acquisition Programs
- Proven skills in identifying, assessing, and addressing program risks, issues, and potential opportunities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering or Digital Engineering methods for managing system definitions and technical baselines
- Strong self-motivation, a robust work ethic, and a commitment to supporting the DoD mission
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a cross-functional team
- Active Secret clearance
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
Responsibilities
- Engage in systems engineering and integration tasks for DoD satellite and ground systems
- Participate in various program reviews pertinent to space systems and DoD applications
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and management processes for space-related initiatives
- Identify and propose solutions to programmatic risks and challenges while developing handling strategies
- Collaborate with the team using Microsoft tools to facilitate project tasks
- Implement a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach for managing system specifications
- Contribute positively to team dynamics and the overarching goals of the DoD
- Communicate effectively with team members, maintaining productivity in a fast-paced environment
- Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards
