Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on programming and software development - Current DoD security clearance is preferred - Minimum 8 years of experience in various programming languages such as JavaScript, JAVA, C#, C++, HTML5, and Python; 7 years with a Masters degree - Ability to analyze and translate complex technical requirements into application designs, implementation, unit and integration testing - Proficiency in identifying and communicating technical debt related to constraints and designs - Experience creating software unit tests and relevant documentation - Skilled in using Microsoft Tools, Teams, various software repositories, build environments, and adhering to software engineering practices across different operating systems - Strong verbal and written communication abilities with a proactive approach - Detail-oriented, quick learner, capable of working collaboratively within a team - Valid drivers license is mandatory

Responsibilities

- Lead and participate in the design and development of advanced software architectures utilizing principles of object-oriented and embedded programming, distributed computing, and thin client systems - Maintain clear and proactive communication regarding task statuses with leadership and team members - Guide all stages of the project life cycle, from developing technical requirements to designing and creating innovative solutions - Carry out testing and integration with larger systems, and oversee the installation and documentation of complete solutions - Actively collaborate with team members and clients to understand requirements and constraints of the target environment - Support the software proposal process, including estimating efforts and creating work breakdown structures for Agile development cycles - Assist or supervise task estimations and schedule creation for assigned software tasks and junior team members - Evaluate and quantify technical debt based on constraints and design requirements - Adapt to a hybrid home/office work schedule, with occasional travel (up to 25%) to client and facility sites, both domestic and overseas
