Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a focus on programming and software development
- Current / active TS/SCI clearance with a full scope polygraph
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in various programming languages such as JavaScript, JAVA, C#, C++, HTML5, and Python (7 years with a Masters degree)
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical requirements into application designs, implementations, unit, and integration testing
- Experience in assessing and communicating technical debt related to design constraints
- Proficient in creating software unit tests and documentation
- Familiar with Microsoft Tools, Teams, various software repositories, build environments, software engineering practices, and operating systems
- Strong understanding of distributed computing and computer science principles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proactive approach
- Detail-oriented, quick learner, capable of working within a collaborative team, and able to self-direct
- Valid drivers license required
Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to the design and development of advanced software architectures applying object-oriented and embedded programming principles
- Facilitate effective communication regarding task status with project leadership
- Oversee all phases of the project life cycle, developing technical requirements and innovative solutions for complex issues
- Perform testing and integration with larger systems, ensuring thorough documentation of complete solutions
- Engage proactively with team members to understand requirements and environmental constraints
- Collaborate with internal teams in support of the software components in proposals, including basis of estimates
- Assist in creating Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for software efforts supporting Agile development cycles
- Participate in task estimation and schedule formulation for assigned software tasks and junior team members
- Evaluate and quantify technical debt based on project constraints and requirements
- Potential for hybrid work schedule with up to 25% travel, including trips to SwRI facilities and short-term travel to government client sites both in the U.S. and internationally
