Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Alternatively, 5 years of professional experience with a high school diploma or equivalent along with relevant certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of substantial experience in administering and supporting Linux operating systems and hosted applications
- Experience with Linux server management in both physical and virtual enterprise settings
- Strong grasp of Linux scripting languages and maintenance of OS services such as Bind, Apache, MySQL, and Nginx
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet is advantageous
- Experience with Pure SAN or other SAN solutions is a benefit
- Technical certifications in Linux are a plus
- Experience with Commvault on-premise and/or cloud-based solutions is beneficial
- A valid and clear drivers license is required
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and manage servers and hosted applications within a Linux environment
- Monitor the status and performance of Linux servers via both automated and manual methods
- Conduct monthly patching and updates of the Linux OS, along with applying critical out-of-band patches
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to change control, server deployment, and other essential procedures
- Enforce necessary policies and protocols to ensure compliance and security
- Operate, maintain, and configure enterprise backup systems

Our team is charged with managing Unix/Linux, SAN storage, load balancers, and backup environments on-premises.
