Requirements
Must:
- Demonstrated experience in IT support, system administration, or similar roles
- Proficient in Windows and Mac operating systems, basic networking concepts, and common business applications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills
- Capacity to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with firewalls, VPNs, or server management (preferred)
- Knowledge of ticketing systems and remote assistance tools (preferred)
- Basic scripting or automation expertise (preferred)
- Relevant IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, etc.) (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals
- Install, configure, and maintain computers, networks, and software systems
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and system access (e.g., cloud tools)
- Ensure the security of networks, perform backups, and maintain data protection protocols
- Apply updates, patches, and security fixes as needed
- Monitor system performance to proactively address issues
- Record IT procedures, configurations, and support inquiries
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers as necessary
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding procedures for employees (including equipment and access)
Description
We are an organization looking for a dedicated and technically proficient IT Support Specialist to oversee our daily technology needs. This full-time position offers competitive hourly pay between $18.00 and $22.00 based on experience, along with opportunities for growth and skill enhancement. Our supportive team environment fosters collaboration and innovation, with work being conducted primarily in person.
