Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- Over 5 years of experience in eligibility, EDI, or healthcare operations
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel
- Experience within PBM or health plan environments is preferred
- Familiarity with supporting production EDI and Eligibility systems
- Expertise in EDI and a comprehensive understanding of eligibility data structures and workflows
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
- Capability to work independently on intricate issues
- Strong judgment regarding defined processes and escalation pathways
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple concurrent issues effectively
- Understanding of how eligibility impacts claims adjudication and member benefits
- Knowledgeable in transaction/file standards (270/271, 834, 835)
- Proficient in interpreting and troubleshooting raw X12 files
- Experience with data integration and ETL tools
- Strong data analysis skills using SQL, Excel, and similar tools
- Familiarity with various database technologies (Relational-SQL, No-SQL, Warehouses, Cloud-based)
- Able to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations for cross-functional teams
- Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure)
- Familiar with operational ticketing and workflow management systems (e.g., Zendesk, JIRA, Azure DevOps)
Responsibilities
- Oversee the quality of eligibility that drives claims adjudication
- Ensure data integrity for upstream client eligibility shared with downstream vendors and systems
- Manage testing, monitoring, issue resolution, and escalations
- Analyze and address complex eligibility challenges affecting claims and member coverage
- Assist in root cause analysis for recurring eligibility defects and discrepancies
- Serve as a resource for escalation of Analyst I/II eligibility inquiries
- Collaborate with EDI, Implementation, Adjudication, and QA teams for testing and support
- Validate eligibility data across various systems and recognize cross-functional impacts
- Review eligibility outputs for precision and compliance with standards
- Update and improve eligibility documentation and processing standards
- Maintain profiles on TPA/TPVs to align with Liviniti strategies
- Support audits and internal evaluations of eligibility accuracy
- Monitor production trends and identify risks or areas for enhancement
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, security protocols, and Liviniti standards
- Work closely with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to implement new eligibility feeds and enhancements
- Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancements within eligibility workflows
- Report any HIPAA violations to the Compliance Officer and/or Human Resources
- Complete and demonstrate competency in all required HIPAA training offered by the company
