Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field
- Over 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on the design and implementation of medium to large-scale WAN/LAN networks
- More than 5 years of comprehensive knowledge in enterprise network technologies, including core switching, firewalls, routing (edge and core), wireless, VLANs, DMZs, IDS/IPS, network load balancing, and VPN
- Expert understanding of TCP/IP and IP Security protocols, such as IPSec, SSL, and TLS
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification preferred
- Current CCNA and/or CCDA certification preferred
- Additional certifications such as CCSP, CCIE, or other industry-recognized credentials are advantageous
- Experience with Cisco Call Manager is considered a significant advantage
- Familiarity with the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework is beneficial
- Knowledge of core server technologies including virtualization, blade server architecture, SAN storage, and high availability setups is a plus
- Experience with VMware and Windows systems is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Design, set up, and configure intricate network systems that support both secure and open access as well as voice and video applications
- Gather complex network requirements to develop robust and scalable network designs
- Conduct capacity planning and performance optimization for enterprise-scale systems and network infrastructures
- Align network infrastructure objectives with organizational goals
- Perform in-depth investigations into technologies and issues, recommending preferred hardware or solutions
- Create and maintain detailed design documents, including Visio diagrams, architecture definitions, IP allocations, device descriptions, and functional narratives
- Assist in the configuration of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS, and Ether-Channel (bonding)
- Install and configure client and server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and telecommunication systems
- Oversee multi-site network operations and software applications, ensuring regular maintenance for both private and public facilities
- Collaborate in a team-oriented environment, using expertise and judgment to achieve goals
- Engage with vendors for hardware procurement and telecommunication WAN circuit provisioning
- Manage assigned projects and program components to ensure alignment with business objectives
- Provide mentorship by sharing knowledge and fostering skill redundancy within the team
- Lead or support technology evaluations, proof-of-concept, and implementation stages
- Collaborate across teams to help determine strategic direction focused on enabling business goals
- Support daily operational networking activities as required
