Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
- At least 2 years of experience in IT support, engaging with and assisting end users.
- Strong ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally with end users to comprehend their needs.
- Proven experience in configuring workstations within an enterprise environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on resolving connectivity issues in Teams and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Resolve connectivity issues for end users using Microsoft 365 product knowledge and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Provide desk-side support in our Charlottesville office and remotely to other locations as required.
- Maintain PC refresh schedules for personnel across all offices.
- Deploy hardware to regional offices for new hires, in collaboration with the IT team.
- Act as the initial point of contact for help desk tickets forwarded from our managed services provider.
- Escalate internal tickets to the appropriate IT staff when necessary.
- Offer additional basic end-user training on Microsoft applications as required.
- Install and set up workstation components to ensure proper usability.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on both Windows and Mac platforms.
- Build and nurture positive relationships with colleagues, focusing on exceptional customer service quality.
- Be available for occasional overnight travel.
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs when necessary.
- Undertake other related duties as assigned by management.
